Cubo Golf Smlednik

This modern 18-hole golf course, almost 6 km long, will delight both amateur and professional players. Beginners can take part in a golf course. The CUBO restaurant in the Club House serves delicious lunches and dinners daily, and can also arrange picnics.

Osovnik, Križna gora, Sveti Jakob

The hotel is an excellent base for visiting the surrounding hills, such as Križna gora, Osovnik or Sveti Jakob, which offer beautiful views. If you have small children, you can drive to the peaks. The paths on the peaks are easy and suitable for children.

Smlednik Castle

Walk among the ruins of a real medieval castle. The Old Castle or Smlednik Castle is located on a small hill to the east of the Hotel Zbilje. From the hill, which you can reach on foot or by car, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Julian Alps and our biggest peak, Triglav. In front of the castle, there is a small bar serving fresh meals.

Zbilje

Lake Zbilje is located just 200 metres from the hotel and is a wonderful excursion destination surrounded by many walking trails. You can go boating or rafting on the lake, or you can just admire nature and feed the swans. There are some cafés and a patisserie in the area.

Medvode

Medvode is located at the junction of the Sava and Sora rivers and the roads leading to its capital Ljubljana. Medvode is particularly lively at weekends, when various music and cultural events take place, and on Saturday mornings, when the locals gather at the market with its many local delicacies. The Medvode Market was awarded the prize for the most beautiful wooden building in 2020.

Ljubljana

Krvavec

Krvavec, named the Best Ski Resort in Slovenia by the Worls Ski Awards, is also known for its adventurous activities: a summer, adrenaline and bike park, hiking trails and many events. Here you can spend your free time in all seasons. Krvavec can be reached by gondola or by road.

Bled and Lake Bled

Bled, one of Slovenia’s most visited destinations, will enchant you with its beauty: in the middle of an emerald glacial lake rises a charming island with a church, surrounded by the picturesque Alps. Enjoy the view from Bled Castle, take a traditional wicker boat ride to the island and taste the famous Bled cream slice.

Bohinj and Lake Bohinj

Bohinj is located half an hour’s drive west of Bled. You will be overwhelmed by its unspoilt nature and views of the surrounding Alps. Bohinj is the right choice for those who enjoy endless possibilities for cycling, hiking, swimming and discovering the rich cultural heritage. Walk to the Savica Waterfall or take a gondola ride to the nearby Vogel Peak.

Velika planina

Velika planina beckons with its magical shepherd’s hut, a true symbol of the place. In June, the village comes to life when the shepherds occupy their huts with their flocks and stay on the mountain until September. Visit one of the shepherds’ huts to taste the local dairy delicacies. Walk through a world of Slovenian traditions, flavours and hospitality.
